CSV data

After you have converted an Excel file into a CSV file, you must upload the data. If you use the Firefox 3.6 or Google Chrome 7.0 browser you can load the CSV file using the "Upload the CSV file" functionality. With other browsers, this functionality is not shown. In the latter case you must open the CSV file with the Notepad program and then copy the entire content. Then paste the content into the CSV data entry field.

The CSV data contains one or more lines which are called items.

The CSV data can contain the following information:

Name payer / name beneficiary (Max 70 characters)
The name payer / name beneficiary is mandatory.
For business payments, it is the beneficiary name.
For direct debits, it is the payers name.
Amount (Max 999999999999999999 euros)
The amount is mandatory and all amounts are in the Euro currency.
You can use the point or the comma as the decimal separator.

Examples:
- 1367,10 is correct
- 1367.10 is correct
- 23 is correct
- 0,23 is correct
- 23,1 is correct
- 573,12345 is correct
- 23, is correct
- ,23 is correct
IBAN number (Max 34 characters)
The IBAN (International Bank Account Number) is mandatory.

Examples:
- NL91ABNA0417164300
- BE68539007547034
- DE89370400440532013000
For business payments, it is the beneficiary IBAN number.
For direct debits, it is the payers IBAN number.
Payment reference (Max 19 characters).
The text: "Kenmerk: " will be placed before the payment reference.
The payment reference is optional.

Example:
Kenmerk: 1234-1234-1234-1234
Description (Max 140 characters).
The description is optional.

The payment reference is part of the description.

Example:
If the payment reference is "Kenmerk: 1234-1234-1234-1234", total 28 characters, you can use 112 characters for the description.
City payer / city beneficiary (Max 70 characters)
The city is optional.

This online service has set the following limits:

Up to 100 items per batch.
The SEPA XML file can contain up to 2 batches.

The characters you can use in the "name payer / name beneficiary", "payment reference", "description" and "city payer / city beneficiary" can be found below.
