CAUTION!!!! CAUTION!!!! CAUTION!!!! CAUTION!!!!

I had spent about 45 minutes creating an image map, and happened to click on one of the question marks for more info. The info opened in the same window I was working in. When I hit "back," all my work was gone!

I don't know if this is a glitch in the program or due to the way I have my browser set up, but

WATCH OUT!!!

Otherwise, it's a great program.

Please let me know asap!

Sorry Steve this code can not be purchased (it is not free source). If this tool needs some additional functionality or improvements just post a comment. I can not guarantee that it will be implemented, but i will investigate it...

Cool tool. I used the <a href="http://www.wordle.net/create">Wordle</a> collage creator to make a text collage (words going different directions). Edited it. And then I used your image map creator to set the coordinates for the rectangles around the words and the links to pages on my website. Here's the <a href="http://hopes-and-dreams.net/collage.html">result</a>. Thank you for your service.

Thank you very much for the use of this tool. It did what I needed and did it quite simply.

Perhaps a user issue but I definitely ran into a few issues in IE7 whereby I drew the rectangle but the coordinates were not collected.

Hi,

I've got a custom class that opens a video using the code below. I'm able to use your code generator to create an image map and that works great for opening a new browser window, but I really need it to call this class.

Any ideas how I can do this?

I'm using word press for my site and the code needed a little tweeking:

I had to change the .jpg from the one created by mobilefish (upload code.jpg) to the address of the jpg hosted on my server.
Also had problems with word press removing the area blocks (</head> <body> </body> & </html>) when I clicked on the visual editor tab, had to replace them.

Problems with wordpress not the tool, but I thought this info might help some folks.

Thanks Robert Lie!

Thanks for a wonderful and exceptionally easy program for adding mapped zones to an image!

Readers may want to use your tool in conjunction with this instructional YouTube video (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8p6ABTA5gRY). It helps one to avoid broken code issues.

I have a massive image to map (3000 pixels wide) – is there a version of the tool for larger images or is there a way for me to map with a scaled down version of the image and then scale up?

Cheers,
W

First, thank you SO much for creating this!

Second, I really really want to use this amazing tool, however the image that I would like to use is more than 100 kb.

The image I want to use is 3mb but I also have a version that is 500kb (actually somewhere between 500-600 but I don't have this version on hand right now)

I think the 500 kb version will work, but really the higher quality version (3mb) would be much preferred.

The reason I need a larger file size is so I can have a higher quality image- it needs to be somewhat big (700x541)- for a professional non-profit website.

Is there anything I can do to make this work or is there a way that this function could be applied to MobileFish?

I would be so grateful if there is anything that you could do to help me. I am an 18 year old co-founder of Circle of Children (circleofchildren.org), and I have recently begun learning about web design (I had been editing and improving circleofchildren.org for a while) since we have begun launching a new project called Global Empowerment Mandala (GEM). I think what you are doing is awesome and I am really excited to learn more about coding and related skills!

Thank you so much for your time!

Blessings,

Chauce

Posted by Tc at September 18, 2014 18:57:34 CEST
For those who are needing to map a larger image than the allowable 100MB, I had the same "problem". However, it was easily resolved by reducing the quality of the image from best (100%) to low (10%). The size of the image was the same, so I could easily map it, I simply reduced the output quality and file size. I am about to now go and apply the coordinates to my hi-res version. I hope this helps.

By the way, to the designer of the tool, thank you.
