Google Toolbar custom button installation instructions


  1. Rename the generated ab12345.xml file to domain_button.xml

    For example:
    mobilefish_button.xml

  2. Place the xml file on your website.

    For example:
    https://www.mobilefish.com/mobilefish_button.xml

  3. Create a link to the custom button on your website.
    When a vistor clicks on the link it will install the custom button in their Google toolbar.

  4. Tell more people about your custom button, add it to Google Toolbar Button Gallery.
    Submit your custom button to Google Toolbar Button Gallery.

  5. To remove the custom button from the Google Toolbar:
    • Select Settings > Options > Custom Buttons
    • Select the custom button
    • Press Remove button
