Upload a monophonic MIDI file. Only file extension: .mid is allowed. The maximum file size is: 800 KB. After the file is uploaded press the "Extract" button. The extracted RTTTL code is displayed in the Method C input area and the MIDI file is converted into text which is displayed in the "MIDI converted to text" output area. If you upload a polyphonic MIDI file, then this file is only converted into text which is displayed in the "MIDI converted to text" output area. The RTTTL code cannot be extracted. Monophonic A monophonic melody is simply a series of musical notes, one note at a time. The MIDI file only uses 1 channel. Polyphonic A polyphonic melody can consist of several notes at a time. The MIDI file uses 2 or more channels. |
